Hello there, I’m Chris Hicky and I’m a Grammy nominated writer/director/photographer and have directed music videos for most of Nashville’s biggest stars including Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, and many more. I’ve also directed live concerts, commercials, short films, World Vision documentaries, and the award winning feature film “The Grace of Jake” shot in my hometown in rural Arkansas. Photography has always been an integral part of my creative journey and inspiration. I was introduced to 35mm at a young age by my grandfather, and have had a camera in hand ever since. After graduating from Rhodes College in Mempis, TN, I packed my truck and headed for Los Angeles in pursuit of cinematic dreams. Along the way I built a career but more importantly grew a wonderful family. And I’m proud to say we now call Kentucky home after re-locating to Louisville during the pandemic. My artistic journey has come full circle as I get back to my photographic roots. I want to share my storytelling craft through stunning portraits full of beauty, personality, and soul. Please contact me to arrange a custom photo shoot for portraits that can not only be shared through social media but also framed for old-school wall hanging as I use pro-level, high resolution cameras, lights, and lenses that allow for large-scale, gallery quality prints. My goal is to become Louisville’s favorite portrait photographer. Let’s do this.
